Summary: Wings of Change flew photographers and media representatives over the Grants Mineral Belt near Grants, in support of the 10th Annual Protecting Mother Earth Conference hosted by the Navajo group Diné CARE. The conference was held to emphasize the continuing problems plaguing the Native Americans who have suffered a disproportionately high number of medical problems due to exposure to mining, milling, and processing of uranium ore.
